You know you’re doing good work when your customers ask you, “Where have you been all my life?”
We’re not typically in the business of bragging. We’re in the business of helping overworked cash-pay medical practices scale their businesses by helping them focus on what they do best, and stop wasting time on secondary or tertiary tasks that seem to dominate their day.
That being said, we take a tremendous amount of pride in the impact we have on our customers’ practices and operations. We love it when customers experience that “Aha!” moment when they realize how much easier their lives are about to become.
Our CEO, Jonathan Dunn, was recently interviewed on Steven Schwartz’s amazing podcast, Concierge Medical Marketing. We highly recommend you Like and Follow Steve’s channel for some truly insightful tips on marketing and scaling your practice.
During their discussion, Steve asked Jonathan about some of the customer success stories that Cerbo has experienced over the years. Today, we will take a bit of a deeper dive into what was discussed, and some of those “Aha!” moments we’ve helped clients achieve.

When asked about Cerbo’s most popular feature, Dunn said that our customers really love Cerbo’s integrated labs. This is something many EHRs have, but not to the extent that Cerbo does.
“We’re pulling information off of that lab so we can have trackable lab data results and have that in a way that makes a lot of sense for the providers. That’s one thing we hear over and over again that sets us apart from some of the other EHR systems,” said Jonathan.
“Where is that information showing up in my EHR? Can I pull that into a soap note and make that part of my charting exercise? Can I create default charts where I can pull in those lab results and not have to click in multiple different places to get that information to come in?”
He added that Cerbo integrates with a lot more specific labs that are outside of the big diagnostic labs most people are familiar with.
“If you are into more precision medicine, and some of these more integrative functional medicine approaches of labs, we integrate with many of those in a bi-directional manner. We also have a lot of the workflows that allow you to really just do things in a way that makes you the most efficient.”
Customers also tend to have that lightbulb moment when they see how much time and effort our Chart Parts feature can save them. Suddenly, they’re able to quickly populate their encounter note with things like text notes, information about the patient, suggested actions, diagnoses, prescriptions, orders, supplements, and much more.
This was a real game-changer for Natalie Corbin-Ricchiuti (CLE), co-owner of Campbell Family Medicine and Revolution Practice, LLC.
“I'm in love with Chart Parts. They call me the ‘Chart Part Queen’ because I create one for everything. If you find that you're saying the same thing over and over and over, just create a Chart Part. Then you just click the little icon. And boom, it populates, and there it is,” said Corbin-Ricchiut.
“We did a little mini calculation once, comparing Cerbo to an older EHR. I won't say the name. But it was hundreds of hours per year that we saved.”
We’ve designed Cerbo to be a difference-maker for all practices in the direct pay space, whether that’s concierge, direct primary care, or integrative functional medicine. However, Jonathan says we’re seeing a particularly great response from those with limited insurance reimbursements.
“If you’re familiar with working with hospital-grade systems or urgent care systems, there’s a lot of workflows that are predefined for you because those systems are more geared towards insurance reimbursements or third-party reimbursements.”
“It’s our competitive advantage when it comes to serving this industry, because we don’t have the limitations of those workflows that come through revenue cycle management-oriented systems. Ours really allows you to practice medicine the way that you want to, whatever that may look like.”
One of the things that is really core to Cerbo is knowing that the providers that we support are also entrepreneurs. And like entrepreneurs in every other sector, they often find themselves having to ‘wear all the hats’ and personally do a lot of tasks that fall well outside their medical area of expertise. This can include anything from figuring out how to market the practice, to hiring and managing employees, to doing all the bookkeeping.
Jonathan is particularly proud of how we help doctors spend less time on those tasks, and more time focusing on patient care.
“They’re forced to learn a lot of things out on their own. Many of you have gone to medical school and are fantastic patient-facing doctors. And you’re looking for a system that allows you to really focus on the patient and the outcomes of the patient.”
“I just want to give a shout-out to all the providers who are pursuing this path, changing healthcare for the best. I always want to give you a pat on the back and just say, we support you, whether you use Cerbo or not. Because it’s all for the greater good of changing healthcare for the better.”

We provide a do-it-all EHR, practice management, and patient portal solution that helps you slash the time spent on administrative tasks, freeing up your time to work ON your business instead of being trapped by tasks IN your business.
“While it takes a while to customize Cerbo to fit your practice, it is well worth the investment and ultimately saves time and money. The best part is that this translates into successful patient outcomes while minimizing the burden of charting, educating, and day-to-day administrative tasks on the practice team.”
