General Import FAQs
Will you be able to import my data from my old EHR when I switch to Cerbo?
Our developers can import data from your EHR, but the type and amount of data will depend on the specific EHR you are migrating from. Each EHR is different, and the process could range from very easy to very complicated. The Implementation Manager and Developer will be able to dive deeper into this information once the process has started.
What kind of data will be imported?
All imports will include demographic data necessary to create patient charts. Beyond demographics, the data Cerbo can import will entirely depend on your EHR. During the import process, Cerbo will only import patient-related data. Operational data/practice management data like charge lists and inventory will not be included in the import process, but your Implementation Manager can walk you through the tools and options for moving this data into Cerbo.
What will be needed from my end?
Some of the information you will have to provide is:
• Estimate of number of patients to import
• Active patients only or all patients
• Sample of complex patients for testing
• Alignment on import date with Cerbo
• Emergency contact information
You may be asked for more information depending on the EHR you are coming from.
What is the timeline for importing my data into Cerbo?
The process will begin after your first meeting with your Implementation Manager. After that, the developers will be working behind the scenes to ensure that all the data can be imported. The actual import will take place over the weekend prior to your go-live date so that all the relevant data is up to date in Cerbo. Credentials to your instance of Cerbo will be given to you at the start of the implementation process. You will have the opportunity to review the data on your go-live date and reach out to your Implementation Manager with any questions.
Where will the data live in Cerbo?
The Implementation Manager and Developer assigned to you will be able to review this with you based on the EHR you are coming from. Some of this will depend on the file formats that data will come in. For example, if SOAP notes are PDFs, they would live in the documents section.
How will I be trained without my data in the system?
The Implementation Managers have a robust training plan that includes standard workflows and best practices. You will be able to apply what you learned once your data is imported into your Cerbo build.
Some of the topics that will be covered during your training include:
• Administrative Workflows and Database Management
• Managing Forms, Templates, and Clinical Tools
• Clinical Workflows
• Billing and Reporting
